Monitoring, Evaluation and Research Director
In his current position, he leads the designing of qualitative and quantitative research tools in TB/HIV services and management of large databases for program monitoring and quantitative analysis of both cross-sectional and longitudinal data.
With masters in epidemiology, he has applied his skills in more than 20 research projects in Malawi and abroad. His experience also includes facilitating the design and implementation of an electronic data system for our clinics – an electronic system that now provides complete patient-level data that Lighthouse uses for the research projects.
Mr. Tweya is also Senior Operation Research fellow for the International Union Against Tuberculosis and Lung Disease, in Paris, France. He also is a recipient of various awards because of his outstanding performance including 2011 EDCTP Outstanding Junior African Scientist for 2011, received in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia.
