Chapter 5: Lymph nodes


4.7. Tuberculous pericardial effusion: The heart is surrounded by a 2-3 cm wide anechoic fluid rim. On both sides, echogenic, “fibrinous” material is visible, floating in the pericardial effusion. Note: despite the large effusion, the right ventricle expands and contracts normally. There is no tachycardia.
